It's a Clean Sweep for Region 7 at Mr. Bass

 

Virginia Bass Federation held its annual Mr. Bass Championship at Lake Gaston on April 5th and 6th 2014. Three positions on the state team are earned at Mr. Bass. 1st place is a boater on the team. 2nd place is co-angler on the team and 3rd place is the team captain and alternate. 1st place David Keisel

 

David Keisel of Green Horn Anglers amassed an impressive 28.83 pound 8 fish limit over two days to take the title "Mr. Bass."

On day one he weighed in the heaviest 4 fish daily limit of the tournament weighing in at 17.26 pounds.

 

On day two he secured the victory with a 4 fish limit weighing 11.57 pounds. His margin of victory was nearly 3 pounds.

 

David is listed as being in Little Creek Bassmasters in the results but that is in error.

2nd place Brian Guckert

 

Brian Guckert also of Little Creek Bassmasters took second and a spot on the state team with a very nice two day 8 fish limit weighing 25.88 pounds.

 

Brian had 12.44 pounds on day one and followed it up with a 13.44 pound sack on day two.

3rd place Mark Ingram

 

Mark Ingram of Performance Fishing Team took 3rd place with a two day total of 24.08 pounds. Mark will be the on the state team as the team captain and alternate.

His first day limit weighed 11.36 pounds. On day two he added 12.72 pounds to his total

11th place Red Bruun

 

One more region 7 angler finished in the money, Red Bruun of Confederate Basmasters. He had a two day total of 18.75 pounds.

Red had 10.36 pounds on day 1 and 8.39 pounds on day two.
